Microsoft Warns: Windows 10 Support is Ending Soon

Microsoft has issued a new warning as the end-of-support date for Windows 10 approaches. According to the tech giant, the popular operating system, launched in 2015, will officially stop receiving security updates and technical support on October 14, 2025.

The countdown for Windows 10 has officially begun. Microsoft estimates that this transition will affect approximately 240 million users. If your device does not meet the requirements for Windows 11, you will have three main options:

  1. Upgrade your current hardware
  2. Buy a new PC compatible with Windows 11
  3. Switch to an alternative operating system

Microsoft emphasizes the importance of updates, stating that running an unsupported system is like “leaving the door open for hackers”. After October 2025, Windows 10 devices will become increasingly vulnerable to malware and cybersecurity threats.

Businesses and enterprise users, however, will be offered extended support. Companies and institutions that cannot transition to Windows 11 will have the option to purchase paid support packages, though these services will be available only to enterprise customers.

If you're still using Windows 10, now is the time to plan ahead. For security, stability, and future support, upgrading to Windows 11 is highly recommended.
